Stephen McBride started his career interning on the Kodak film stock tests in his hometown of Rochester, New York. Moving to New York City in 2009, he honed his skills by working as a camera assistant under the cinematographers Adam Stone, William Rexer and Terry Stacey, ASC for projects with directors including Baz Luhrmann and Jeff Nichols.
With a visual style emphasized by naturalistic lighting and fluid camera movement, Steve’s credits as a cinematographer include the feature films Dan Is Missing and Girl’s Night as well as many short narrative, music video and commercial project
