Sharon Rocky Roggio

Sharon “Rocky” Roggio made her directorial debut with 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture. With two decades of experience in film and television, she has worked on acclaimed projects like House of Cards and Parks and Recreation, collaborating with numerous A-list stars. After interning at Banyan Productions, she co-founded Sweetbread Studios in Philadelphia, producing award-winning short films and commercials. Roggio later worked with Radish Creative Group in Detroit, where she honed her skills in line-producing and managing substantial budgets. In 2014, she moved to Los Angeles to focus on film and television full-time, producing GOOK, which premiered at Sundance in 2017. Inspired by the 1946 biblical mistranslation, Roggio is now dedicated to creating her documentary.
