Sandra Descher was an American actor who was discovered while on vacation with her family in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In 1954 Sandy played the traumatized little girl in "Them!" which is the role for which she is best-remembered. At that time she signed a long-term contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Loretta Young was her idol, and in 1962 she was hired to co-star in "The New Loretta Young Show." In 1964 she appeared in "The New Phil Silvers Show", which only lasted eight episodes. By the time she was 17, she had made some 16 movies and 100 television shows.
