Nuka Bisgaard

Nuka Bisgaard, also known as Nuka Tha Diva, is a fashion designer, music manager and musician from Greenland. For the last five years, she has been the founder and one of the organisers of Nuuk Gaypride. Bisgaard performs as a drag queen and fights for the rights and interests of the LGBT*QA scene in Greenland.

In the documentary film Eskimo Diva (2015), directed by Lene Staehr, she plays the main character. The film has won many prizes at international festivals.

Bisgaard manages the musicians Josef Tarrak Petrusson and Uyarakq. Together with them, as part of NORDWIND, she will create the sound collage Blackout, which moves between dark energy and mythical sounds.
