María Carolina Quintana

Maria Carolina Quintana is a filmmaker, Director and Writer from Rancagua, Chile. Her latest short film, Las Perras (2019) has been selected to participate in various festivals, including: SHORTS México (2020), Best of Latin America Short Film Festival (USA, 2019), 22es Rencontres du cinéma sud-américain, (France, 2020) and the short film festival qualifier for the Academy Awards in South America: Cine Lebu (Chile, 2020). The film also received 2 awards: Best Direction and Best Actress, in FECIR - Festival Internacional de Cine de Rengo (Chile, 2020). In 2019 she was selected as a director to participate in the Academy section of the International Queer & Migrant Film Festival Amsterdam IQMF. With her production company Reina Fungi Films participates in various international exhibitions and seminars. She is currently in the post-production process of a short documentary film.
