Katie Ryan

Katie Ryan had a real passion for this project, as a loyal follower of Don Edward’s career and music for many years. She first saw him play at the William S Hart Museum and found it fitting for Edwards to playing in the living room of a silent movie cowboy star with the original paintings of Charles Russell and Frederick Remington in the background.

In her other life, Katie is a licensed marriage and family therapist with an equine-assisted practice serving military and their families. Trying to find out what makes people tick prepared her for her first feature documentary and her knack for storytelling helped her to interview cowboy singers, poets, and fans to make The Last Coyote. Katie has authored two books Horse Wisdom Alchemy and The Secret of the Blood Moon.
