Elda Ferri

Elda Ferri is the CEO of the film production company Jean Vigo Italia. Among others, she has produced numerous films directed by Roberto Benigni and Roberto Faenza. She won, together with Gianluigi Braschi, the David di Donatello for Best Producer for La vita è bella (Life Is Beautiful), for which she also received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture (1999). Life Is Beautiful by Roberto Benigni won the Grand Prix at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival, 9 David di Donatello (including Best Film) and 5 Nastro d'Argento Awards in Italy, 2 European Film Awards, and 3 Academy Awards (1999), including Best International Feature Film and Best Actor in a Leading Role for Roberto Benigni, the first for a male non-English performance. She won the Media Salles's European Producer of the Year Award during the Cinema Expo International in Amsterdam (2005) and the Raoul Wallenberg Award (1999), a prestigious international prize for achievements in supporting the memory of Shoah. She's a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
