David Hussey
David Hussey entered the undergraduate theatre department at S.M.U., ranked the number one program in the country, and there won both the prestigious Greer Garson Acting Award and Edith Renshaw Award for outstanding undergraduate acting student. While in Dallas, he performed opposite George C. Scott in "Finding the Way Home," and Valerie Bertinelli in "Pancho Barnes." He also featured in several plays, culminating with the lead roles of HAMLET and PRINCE HAL at Fort Worth Shakespeare in the Park. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he's had roles in movies and television shows-- among them, "Becker," "MadTV," "General Hospital," "Apollo 11," "Blue Chips," "Mr. Saturday Night," and "Things II: More Things." He also starred in a pilot, hosted his own show on VH-1, "Reality Wrap-Up," and has been fortunate enough to have made many commercials.
He has won acclaim as a director, having helmed, among others, the acclaimed Search and Destroy at the Tamarind, for which he received the Dramalogue Award for Best Direction, Speed the Plow at the Group Repertory Theatre, Coffee Stains at the Odyssey, and several productions at the Creative Arts Theatre School.
