An internship at the fledgling Bad Boy Entertainment began the journey. Bad Boy Ent was birthed when Sean P Diddy Combs conceived it at Uptown Records. An internship at BBE created a job opportunity at Uptown Records. Now full time under the tutelage from Andre Harrell at music history making Uptown Records, Jones worked in the extremely hands-on department of Artist Development and simultaneously assisting in music video production. In a few short years, several artists delivered multi platinum projects and iconic visuals. Mary J Blige “My Life”, Jodeci “Diary Of A Mad Band” & Soul For Real Candy Rain gave Jones his 1st platinum plaques. Jones then headed to Motown Records with Andre Harrell allowing an opportunity to work with mega stars Boyz II Men amongst many, many others. After a years run with Motown Records in the music video department, Jones was recruited by Mona Scott Young to Violator Artist Management; home to Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cents & Tribe Called Quest. As in house tour manager, Jones booked tours for all artists. Serving as tour manager for Busta Rhymes and then later as General Manager for multi platinum Flipmode Records. A next level opportunity led Jones to Virgin Records to work for international recording artist D’Angelo. He delivered an iconic platinum Voodoo album culminating with his masterpiece music video “Untitled”. As the industry began to shift and changed reality TV became the hottest ticket. Coming full circle, Mona Scott Young called for Bjones to Produce Season 1 of Love and Hip Hop where he still produces celebrated specials for the franchise.
