I am a wildlife and conservation filmmaker/photographer, author, speaker and self-proclaimed bear nerd. My work has appeared on Nat Geo, The BBC, PBS, Nature and Smithsonian Channel. My most recent film, “The Beast of Our Time: Grizzly Bears and Climate Change” is narrated by none other than The Dude, Jeff Bridges. The film recently won Best Environmental Film Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
It was the loss of my daughter Marley that brought me to Yellowstone in 2012 and changed my career path from a photojournalist to a wildlife storyteller. Filming and photographing in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem was a full immersion into the wild. No surprise a landscape carved of fire and ice with apex predators was the best place for me to process Marley’s death.
I’ve spent thousands of days capturing these images and stories from the wild to bring home to you. Marley has been with me every step of the way. Only minor adjustments have been made in post-production as I try to bring you the images just as I saw them in the field. I hope viewing these images brings you as much joy as I had capturing them.
