Bette Davis

Bette Davis was an American actor with a career spanning more than 50 years and 100 acting credits. She won two Academy Awards and was the first actor to accrue ten nominations.

Davis was known for Of Human Bondage (1934), Dangerous (1935) for which she won her first Academy Award for Best Actress, Marked Woman (1937),  Jezebel (1938) for which she won her a second Academy Award for Best Actress and was the first of five consecutive years in which she received a Best Actress nomination; the others were for Dark Victory (1939), The Letter (1940), The Little Foxes (1941) and Now, Voyager (1942).

She played a Broadway star in All About Eve (1950), which earned her another Oscar nomination and won her the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress. Her last Oscar nomination was for What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962), which also starred Joan Crawford,
