Ben Shelton

Ben grew up in Santa Barbara, California, mentored by his uncle, filmmaker Ron Shelton (Bull Durham, White Men Can’t Jump, Tin Cup). At age 21, Ben directed a short film that won Best Picture at the Foolish Pleasures Film Festival. By the age of 26, Ben directed a series of nationally televised commercials for Fox Mobile that launched him into a successful career directing multimedia content for NBA Basketball, Miami Heat, Kansas City Royals, MySpace, eHarmony and Clorox. He then took full advantage of all the emerging new media platforms, writing and directing short films starring Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Fillion, Steven Weber, Taye Diggs, Tim Daly, Amy Brenneman, Jean Smart, Michael Rosenbaum and Stephen Tobolowski, among others. Currently, Ben has been writing and directing the series: “The FlipSide” for Rainn Wilson’s company SoulPancake Productions. His next feature film Yesterdays is in preproduction and will be filming in New Orleans this July.
