Belaxis Buil

Beláxis Buil is an international exhibiting fine artist, choreographer, film maker and artistic director in Miami’s artist community, with work spanning over 23 years. Her first solo “Lifted” was presented in 2015 at &gallery during Art Miami. Buil has exhibited her work at Art Shanghai, China, “Performativo”, Dominican Republic, Art Tacheles, Germany, “Artifariti”, Africa and at prestigious institutions such as “MocaNomi” (Intersectionality), Miami Beach Botanical Gardens (“The Revolt of Flora Femme”), and at the Carnival Studio at The Adrienne Arsht Center. In 2020 she was the recipient of Miami-Dade County’s Choreographer Award. Prior to her career in fine arts, Buil started off as an actor and fashion model. She performed various leading roles for Barq's Root Beer, Wendys, Statefarm, Wal-Mart, walked runways for designers Todd Oldham, Nicole Miller, Cosabella, Juan Carlos Piñera, Malia Mills and danced/performed on stage with the Florida Grand Opera, the 4th Door, “Albita” and “Circ X”. Buil is currently in post-production of her independent dance-theater film, “Trés Marias” which she wrote, directed, choreographed and filmed.
