Story:
Nappa Tappa aka Milton Mckenzie was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. His love for music started when he attended church at Pentecostal Church of God. He was in the choir, and this is where he adopted his first love. Nappa Tappa achieved his name through Reggae artist Merciles. His name reflects who this artist is “Up Top”; the Top-Level artist, and that is what he has stayed true to throughout his career. His lyrics are cultural because he is a representative of the Rastafarian Culture. He is an outstanding example of someone who has been through, and has overcome obstacles in his personal life. He reaches out internationally through his music to spread a message of upliftment, and universal love. Nappa Tappa is not an ordinary individual nor is his music ordinary. When he produces a product he goes by energy, not fashion. That alone sets him aside from 'said' counterparts. His influences are based in Ghana- King Lagazee, Eddie Ranks, Major Steppa, Fire Crew Sound w/Ras Kalio & Fari, and DJ Gashi to name a few.
He has connections in England, and numerous affiliates in America who has been a huge contribution to the legacy of Reggae music, for example Sammy Dred, Johnny Osborne, Michael Palmer, and the Legendary Steve Austin of House of Musik Entertainment. Nappa Tappa has produced 21 songs to date and has released 5 singles titled Fyah Blaze, Blaze Dem, Too Hot Fi Dem, Bad Wen and Wake up. His new single is titled Baby Can’t You See and his first album will be released in 2024.
