Chef Attilio Marini is the proud owner and executive chef of Cast Iron Chef Chophouse and Oyster Bar, located in New Haven, Connecticut. With over 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Attilio's journey began at the young age of 17, when he started working in his mother’s Italian restaurant in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
What sets Attilio's steakhouse apart from the rest is his unique culinary concept: he utilizes cast iron skillets from start to finish, allowing him to achieve an incredible flavor and a perfectly seared crust on every steak. Despite having no formal culinary education, Attilio has dedicated himself to honing his craft year after year, resulting in an array of exquisitely delicious dishes. His passion and love for cooking shine through in every plate he serves, which is why it’s no surprise that his restaurant has been awarded the title of Best Steakhouse in New Haven County for five consecutive years.
In addition to his culinary talents, Attilio is proud to have his two daughters, Jeanette and Lauren, actively involved in the family business, working alongside their father to continue the legacy of excellence at Cast Iron Chef Chophouse and Oyster Bar.
