Sharon is a proud USAF Veteran and once she left the Military she worked as a Field Engineer. It was through one of her many customers, that she was offered a position that led to her many years in casino management. Sharon was part of the management team responsible for opening two multi-billion dollar casino properties in Las Vegas, NV, (Treasure Island and Bellagio) and one in Biloxi, MS (Beau Rivage).  Her duties included everything from interviewing hundreds of applicants, designing office space, hiring staff, developing training and operating manuals, bidding and awarding million-dollar corporate contracts for services and materials to ensuring the company’s records management program’s compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.  While working for Mirage Resorts and MGM Mirage, she also volunteered and worked for different child safety, inner-city youth sports programs, and missing child prevention companies. After Sharon left the casino industry, she became a Certified Residential and FHA Appraiser. She started and built up her own appraisal company, which became one of the top three companies in Southern Nevada and was used by a major national home builder. More recently, Sharon has written two preschool safety books, which are based on her experience teaching young children about personal safety and they have received great reviews.  These books are currently in use in many child development centers and Head Start classrooms.  She also founded Military Veterans Against Child Abuse.
