Joe Benedetto is a screenwriter/director/producer born in Brooklyn known for the films A Guy Named Rick, Hide the Sausage, Amazin' and Devastation.
His b&w crime noir "Hide the Sausage" won several awards and was nominated for the Charlie Chaplin Award (Best Short Film) at the Blow Up: Chicago International Film Festival.
In 2019, he was hired by Academy Award winning producer Brad Wyman ("Monster") to write the screenplay adaptation of Pulitzer Prize winner Jimmy Breslin's book "Can't Anybody Here Play This Game?" That screenplay is entitled "Amazin'.
