The Song of Her
Censor rating: R
Drama, Thriller, LGBTQ+, Short
Duration: 0:20:29
Story:
This multi-award winning short film is a delicious slice of sinister perfection with a deft blend of Gothic imagery and low-tech police state potboiler that spirals into a tale of pleasure, pain and the incestuous relationship between the two. Writer/director Rodney Ferrer presents this yarn in gorgeous black and white, which gives the world a cold, dilapidated, industrial feel, peppered with stained glass windows, pipe organs, and naked flesh.

Much like other Rodney films, it leaves you wanting more. Great cast. Great cinematography. The wide shots. The pace. The color choice. Great use of Mozart's "Lacrimosa". A breath of old cinema that is no longer found in today's main stream, except for a few places. Can't wait to see Rodney's next film.
