Story: This historical documentary covers the March for Women's Lives, held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on April 25, 2004. March organizers estimated that 1.15 million people participated and declared it 'the largest protest in U.S. history.' Featuring appearances by Cybill Shepherd, Whoopi Goldberg, Laura Dawn and Moby, Amy Brenneman, Ani DiFranco, Gloria Steinem, Susan Sarandon, Anthony Romero, Bonnie Franklin, Julianne Moore, Eleanor Smeal, Carole King, Camryn Manheim, Sandy Rapp, Kathy Najimy, Sarah Weddington, Tyne Daly, Christine Lahti, Janeane Garofalo, Holly Near, Ashley Judd, Representative Louise Slaughter (NY), Carole Moseley Braun, Ana Gasteyer, Gloria Feldt, Senator Barbara Boxer (CA), Patricia Ireland, Kathleen Turner and many others. Participants protested the recently passed Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act (2003) as well as other policies they believed to be "anti-women."

An excellent must-see documentary featuring so many amazing people who care about a woman's right to choose. This film is more relevant now than it was back then! Mark Schulze :)

Patty here. I produced this documentary 20 years ago when women had more rights. Roe v. Wade was in place. Today, in 2024, our rights are systematically being stripped, and only we can stop it by voting. Watch this documentary with amazing people and get fired up. It's time to roll up our sleeves and take back our power.
